Terms of use

Plain-English terms for using our comparison service — including exactly how we make money.

Last updated: August 2026

Our service

Switch Now Ltd operates a comparison and switching service for UK households. We help you compare energy and broadband deals and, if you want, arrange the switch with the provider you choose.

How we make money

Our service is free for you. When you switch through us, the supplier or provider pays us a commission. That commission does not change the price you pay, and our advisers are not paid more for recommending one supplier over another. We do not cover the whole of the market — we work with a panel of suppliers, and we will tell you when a deal outside our panel is cheaper.

Information accuracy

Prices, speeds and savings shown are estimates based on the information you give us and on supplier data at the time of the comparison. Your final contract is with the supplier, and their terms and pricing prevail.

Your responsibilities

  • Give accurate details about your address, usage and current contract.
  • Check any exit fees on your current contract before switching.
  • Only submit details for a household you are authorised to act for.

Liability

We take care to keep our information accurate but we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from a supplier's pricing, service or switching process. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
